The market closed down 57 pts after making an intra day high of 33165 to close at 33023. Turnover was 30pc at 123mln shares and value traded was down 35pc at Rs 5.2 bln. Weak crude oil prices over the weekend put pressure on oil stocks and resurgent foreign outflows in banking, fertilizer and E&P's made buyers nervous.
Volume leaders for the day were DFML, BOP, KEL, TPL and QUICE.
DFML rose 6.7pc on revival hopes over the new auto policy. MUGHAL, ASTL, DSL rose over 4pc on additional regulatory duty on steel.
