The market managed to close positive by 70pts after hitting an intra day high of 200pts. Weaker international crude oil on reports of Iran pouring cold water on output cut hopes put pressure on the PSX, limiting gains.
Today's top turnover items were NIB Bank, Dewan Cement, Bank of Punjab, K Electric and TRG. Turnover and value traded rose by 10-12pc compared to Friday coming in at 131mln shares and Rs6.3bln. NIB, Silk Bank, Efoods, Searle and Glaxo were the main performers today rising in excess of 4pc. DSFL was the main loser giving up 5pc. The market will keenly follow direction of foreign flows which came in at -USD2.7mln today. Outflows resumed in Oil and Gas, banking and Fertilizer sectors today.
