The market opened positive today rising almost 200pts but failed to hold its ground steadily declining to close near the days low at 32467 down 291pts or 0.9pc. In the two sessions this week the index has lost 1.8pc. Turnover was on the lower side with 145mln shares changing hands but value traded was up 25pc at Rs.9.2bln. Today's net inflow number of USD8.2mln is a positive development. ATRL, Mari, POL, PPL and PSO were among the top 6 stocks by value traded and that's why value traded outpaced turnover today. Net inflow number today could signal support for the index around 32500. Wednesdays US Federal Reserve decision and crude oil inventory levels will remain on investors minds. Fertilizer stocks lost ground today with Fatima losing 4.3pc. Weakening urea prices cast a pall across the sector.
